BIOHAWK Pine Crush Natural Digestion Aid is a dry powder, that is a freeze-dried liquid extract, stable at ambient temperatures but hygroscopic and the pack must be kept sealed.
Pine Crush has been shown to digest phlegm in the throat and lungs. It was developed to remove the carbohydrate coating on Gram-negative bacteria that binds to membrane proteins preventing the ginger digesting these proteins.
The powder is dissolved in water and made up to 250mL. It is taken when required to remove a carbohydrate coating from a proline-rich protein to aid in the digestion of such proteins using the Biohawk ginger products.
A Queensland grown pineapple has high levels of bromelain as well as high levels of an enzyme that remove the carbohydrate coating from the proline-rich membrane proteins on some viruses and some ‘bad’ bacteria. Originally the pineapple flesh was crushed and sold frozen. More recently the crush was freeze-dried, and milled to give a powder that was added to water to give a solution with some pulp in it. The pineapple is now crushed, the liquid separated from the solids, and the solids and some liquid are freeze-dried to give two separate products, Pine Boost Powder (a commercial product) and Pine Crush Powder, respectively, while the remaining liquid is frozen for sale as a commercial product, Pine Boost.
Pine Crush solution made from dissolving the powder in water and making the solution up to 250mL (store refrigerated).
The levels taken are ½ teaspoon for an infant under 10Kg, 1 teaspoon for a child under 30Kg, and 2 teaspoons (a dessertspoon) usually twice a day prior to meals, increased to 3 times a day for serious conditions.
Biohawk Pine Crush is to be taken taken before meals and is safe for children and adults.
